Hi all.
Well, here I am with my third novel and I couldn't be happier with it. I completely fell in love with my characters and hope you do too.
It was an emotional one to write, as heartwarming as it was heartbreaking at some points, but I love it!

So, synopsis time:
When all you know is how to run, to escape, to get away, when your pain and hurt is not just emotional, when a man just being near you causes you anxiety. . . Trust seems like something only other people have.
But then there's Logan.
Tall, tattooed and intimidating to a timid and nervous Quinn, Logan has his work cut out to earn the trust of the woman who's son he's been hired to tutor. The fact she can barely look at him, let alone be anywhere near him is a certain barrier to the much needed interaction between parent and teacher.
As the weeks go on, he begins to pick up on her mannerisms, starts to figure out what lies behind her anxiety and fears, and while gently coaxing her from her shell, a friendship blossoms.
When Quinn finally confides that she had to flee her home to escape her violent ex, a man still intent on tracking her down, it's worse than he imagined.
She's spent so many years feeling lost, alone and constantly looking over her shoulder that her belief in herself and others has been shaken to the point all trust is lost. Certain situations trigger severe responses and dredge up traumatic memories and her wariness of men means she hasn't been with anyone since she fled her home and the violence of her ex.
With all that weighing heavy on her shoulders, the growing attraction between her and Logan terrifies her. But there's also something else, a spark, something igniting within her that feels at odds with her fears, something she's not felt for a long, long time, something exciting.
With his continued calm, kindness and patience with her, she takes small steps towards trusting Logan, learns to be comfortable with his physical presence and allows her feelings to develop.
She's hesitant about a relationship, tentative when they have their first kiss and constantly lacking belief in herself, but his endless reassurance, support and sense of humour, not to mention all that Aussie charm, enable her to step outside her comfort zone, push her boundaries and embark on something she thought she'd never have again.
But when her ex finds her this time, she'll be leaving more behind than an empty flat and a few acquaintances if she runs. She'll be leaving behind a whole host of new friends, a community she adores and the man she loves. And if she does, what happens to those left behind?
Warning: Contains swearing, scenes of a sexual nature and themes/mentions of rape, domestic violence, abuse, stalking, abduction and cheating.
