So I've just finished reading this and I have to say. . . If you're looking for a new book to read, pick this up. I finished it in two days - it was that good!

Ani has retreated to her hometown and small-town life when grumpy, grieving, rock star Garrett moves in next door.

They form a friendship as both of them work through their own issues, neither really accepting either their feelings or that there could be more between them.

Their slow-burn romance, the emotions and vulnerabilities within their relationship and the banter between them as they get to know each other are so fantastically written that you can't help but keep reading, just wanting to know what's to come.

The character of Ani is down-to-earth and relatable, someone who you can easily imagine yourself being friends with, while Garrett is damaged, a little broken but utterly lovable as he takes those first steps to start living again.

The main characters are supported by a fabulous cast - just look out for Garrett's band mate, the scene-stealing Smith!

Overall this is a heartfelt romance with a tonne of depth, dealing with real-life issues with both sensitivity and care. It's no wonder that Kylie Scott is an instant buy every time she has a new book out!
